Brazilian government tweet confounds Orbán with Pompeo

Government-operated social media is just as prone to mistakes as any other human activity, as indicated by the Brazilian government tweet wrongly identifying Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán as U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

"USA Secretary Pompeo met with the new president of Brazil, Jair Bolsanaro in Brasilia, Did you know that U.S. are the second largest trading partner of Brazil and the main export destination for manufactured and semi-manufactured Brazilian products?" read a tweet from the Brazilian government accompanied by a picture of Orbán and Bolsanaro.

In good humor, the U.S. in Brazil responded: "Thank you so much for this great tweet highlighting the strong relations between our two countries, but the photo is not of Secretary Pompeo. :)"

Both politicians attended the inauguration of president-elect Bolsanaro. The Brazilian government has since updated its Twitter feed and the mistake is no longer there.
