Before EP elections

Dworczyk: Polish government reshuffle "possible"

Head of the PM’s Office Michał Dworczyk reveals that a government reshuffle may be planned ahead of the May European Parliament (EP) Elections.

Dworczyk told a commercial TV news channel that “it’s no secret that different scenarios are being considered concerning this possible reconstruction.” The options he presented were either to wait until the elections, when the ministers leave if they are elected or to do the reshuffle ahead of the elections.

The politician claimed that “no decision has been made yet.”

At least those ministers who ran from the first places on election lists in constituencies will most likely leave the government

“I do not want to speak on the subject as these are decisions reserved for the PM and the political leadership of Law and Justice,” Dworczyk underlined.

The statesman explained that at least those ministers who ran from the first places on election lists in constituencies will most likely leave the government. “Whether it will be just the four ministers from the first places or also the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policies Elżbieta Rafalska will depend on the PM and PiS leadership,” Dworczyk reminded.

The Head of the PMs office reassured that Law and Justice (PiS) has many competent politicians and experts ready to replace those ministers who leave for the EP.
