Poland is buying US rocket system

Poland’s government will purchase 20 HIMARS artillery rocket systems from the United States for USD 414 million this Wednesday. The systems have a range of 300 km.

Polish defense minister Mariusz Błaszczak assured that “the transaction comes at a good price” and that many other NATO states use these systems and that they had proved their worth in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syrian conflicts.

HIMARS is the High Mobility Artillery rocket system which uses guided missiles. The rocket launchers are placed on light armoured vehicles.
