PM Orbán also emphasized the Europeaness of Poland and Hungary: “We, Hungarians and Poles, are European nations with a millennium long past and that is why we’ve always wanted a strong Europe. A Europe proud of her history and religious and cultural traditions. We know what it means to fight for freedom, which is why we care for it in any circumstances.”

The prime minister stressed the special friendship which Poland and Hungary share: “We are united by a true and selfless friendship, thanks to which we’ve always could and still can count on each other.”
