“A state is not the judges who feel above the law and courts which are working slowly – that is not a just state,” Andrzej Duda said during his meeting with the inhabitants of Lubań. “A state is a government who cares for the common, hardworking people,” he added.

The president spoke of fixing Poland. One of these measures was the introduction of the 500+ child benefit program. Its goal was to help young couples “feel supported by the government in bringing up children.” He is satisfied by how the program is operated and how efficiently the money is distributed.

Duda also hopes that prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki’s commitments will be fulfilled. The aim is to develop small counties and the government wants to thermo-modernize houses, build local roads, cut heating costs and install high speed internet.

“The government will spend PLN 500 million in counties, small towns, in places where it is needed, where local governments weren’t always able to afford these modernizations,” Duda says.

The president assured the country that his aim is to be deeply convinced at the end of his term that Poles are indeed living better lives.
