Macron has accused Poland of breaking the rule of law and has attacked Viktor Orban for “flirting” with Russia. Meanwhile, his photo with Angela Merkel, Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin holding hands has spread worldwide.

Recently, the French President visited the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Officially, it was meant to be a visit on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Czechoslovakian independence in 1918. In reality, Macron is trying to compensate for his poor internal policies by being active on the international stage: in 18 months he has visited 20 countries.

Macron is also trying to divide Europe into the “Europe of nationalists and populists” and the “Europe of Progress”, of which he’d be the leader.

Paris fears the upcoming changes to the European Commission. The countries which Macron is attacking – Italy, Hungary and Poland will be choosing new commissars. This could mean serious change within the eurocratic body. Meanwhile, Macron wants to place himself as the head of the European integration movement and as a supporter of the defense of “progress”.

It’s hard not to notice Macron’s arrogance, which is affecting only smaller and weaker EU member states. Yet this arrogance will cost him in the upcoming European Parliament elections. Merkel’s CDU received a catastrophic result in Germany and Macron’s popularity among the French is at 29 percent. Of course, the increasingly exposed “King Macron” would still like to oh so majestically teach others.
