According to the Slovak ministry the body is prepared to lead discussions about any proposal which is helping dialogue between member states and European institutions, while providing a solution acceptable for both parties. Boris Gandel, the spokesperson of the ministry believes that a constructive dialogue could provide guarantee for further cooperation.

Peter Pellegrini also highlighted respecting Danko’s plans about a public supporting act for Hungary and Poland. The Slovak Prime Minister last week in Brussels pointed out that a similar step was made by the Czech parliament and if Slovak MP’s decide the same, the government will respect the decision.

“We were clearly expressing the preference of dialogue. It seems that in case of Poland certain compromises were being made and I firmly believe that Hungary should be treated similarly, not by threatening with the most radical solution which is not contributing to the unity within the European Union,” Danko said.
