Hungarian MEPs receive their mandates

The 21 Hungarian MEPs who will represent Hungary in Brussels took their oath on Thursday, national news agency MTI reports.

At the May European Parliament elections the ruling Fidesz party won 13 seats, the social-democrat DK four, newcomer centrist Momentum two, while the Socialists and the far-right Jobbik one mandate each.

According to the EP charter, all MEPs take their oath in their home country.
