Polish medics who helped the Slovakian health service in conducting coronavirus tests returned to Poland on Sunday night. The team represented a total of 67 people, including doctors, nurses and paramedics.

The Polish team collected swabs for antigen tests for two days alongside local Slovakian medics in Bratislava at several collection points.

Almost 27,000 tests were conducted with the assistance of the Polish medics, stated the deputy head of the Central Clinical Hospital, Artur Zaczyński, who also oversaw the work of the Polish team in Slovakia. Results showed that 250 of those tests were coronavirus positive.

Polish Ambassador to Slovakia Krzysztof Strzałka bid farewell to the Polish medics and thanked them for their work.
