After a sabotage attack on a vital Poilsh rail line used to supply Ukraine with weapons, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that over 400 Polish Territorial Defense Force soldiers, together with Poland’s Railway Protection Service, are now patrolling 80 key sections of railway infrastructure.

“The soldiers utilize all necessary equipment, including drones, and a helicopter is also at their disposal. Joint operations with the RPG will be conducted for as long as necessary. If the need arises, the forces will be increased,” he posted on X.

The move comes in the wake of two acts of sabotage that occurred on the Warsaw-Lublin railway route. In Mika (Garwolin County, Masovian Voivodeship), an explosive device destroyed a railway track, and near the Gołąb railway station (Puławy County, Lublin Voivodeship), a train carrying 475 passengers had to suddenly brake due to a damaged railway line.

The defense minister also announced yesterday that new military exercises were taking place in Finland.

“Our soldiers have begun important maneuvers in Lapland: relocation of equipment over long distances, cooperation with soldiers of allied forces, and provision of fire support during operations. These are the main tasks of the Northern Strike 25-2 exercises, which are being carried out on the training ground in Finland,” he posted.

The prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into acts of terrorist sabotage directed against railway infrastructure and committed on behalf of a foreign intelligence agency, reports the Do Rzeczy news portal.

Minister of Justice, Attorney General Waldemar Żurek has established a special investigative team to investigate the sabotage on railway lines. The team will consist of prosecutors from the Masovian branch of the National Prosecutor’s Office, as well as officers from the Internal Security Agency and the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police.

Meanwhile, others are warning that Europe should be pursuing peace, not preparing for war.

János Zila, an analyst at the Center for Fundamental Rights, has openly criticized “the globalist elite in Brussels” for pushing the war, continuously funding it, and even making moves to escalate it.  This is why we are “currently seeing a huge arms race,” he told Magyar Nemzet

He said that is why Germany is accelerating the expansion of conscription and why it is arming itself with such an enormous force. According to the analyst, there is an obvious need to defend Europe, but there is no need to deliberately seek conflict with Russia.

Zila underlined the importance of next year’s Hungarian election, as it will decide whether Hungary continues to push for peace or joins the mainstream in Brussels and is dragged into war.
