A Gambian asylum seeker decided to go for a stroll in his birthday suit last week in the town of Schopfheim in southwestern Germany, walking naked through the streets while harassing those he passed. Many videos were made by passersby who saw the man and his ensuing resisting arrest and are circulating online.
Police were notified by several callers on the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 19 that the migrant, who has been identified as 28-year-old Ebrima T., was walking through the town center completely naked. Some said that he was making threats against other pedestrians.

According to the police report, the trouble began when Ebrima threatened one of his neighbors with a knife. He then fled into the streets. He eventually kneeled to pray in the Muslim manner in the middle of a busy road, blocking traffic – and coincidentally, near a police station.
Ebrima resisted when police officers attempted to take him into custody. With difficulty, they were able to get him to the nearby police station and into a holding cell. A doctor was then called given that the officers said the migrant was clearly in a state of “mental distress.” The doctor who evaluated Ebrima recommended that he be sent to a psychiatric hospital.

The story doesn’t end there, however: Ebrima became aggressive once again as the officers were taking him to a waiting ambulance. They managed to get him inside, but three police officers were lightly injured during the scuffle. All were able to continue performing their duties, however. Ebrima was then taken to the hospital under police escort.
Charges are being considered against Ebrima T. for making threats, resisting arrest, and causing bodily harm.
