German police have arrested a naked man who participated in a series of disturbing sexual attacks and an attempted rape in the Bavarian city of Wenzenbach.

The chaos began at approximately Feb. 7 at 7:45 a.m. at a dog park on Regensburger Straße. Authorities received an emergency call reporting an attempted rape. According to the updated police account, a 24-year-old man from Regensburg, who was entirely naked throughout the duration of the crimes, began sexually harassing several women in the park. He eventually targeted a 47-year-old woman, groping her body while simultaneously exposing and touching his own genitals, according to the police report. For this action, the man was charged with attempted rape.

The assault was only halted when a citizen courageously intervened, forcing the man to release the victim and flee the scene. However, the suspect’s rampage continued a few streets away. He reportedly forced his way into a vehicle and physically compelled the 52-year-old female driver out of the car.

The situation ended at that point when two citizens tackled the suspect and held him on the ground until police arrived to take him into custody.

Authorities noted that the 24-year-old was in the midst of a mental health crisis and was subsequently transported to a specialized psychiatric clinic.

The Upper Palatinate Police Headquarters praised local “citizens who did not look the other way and intervened courageously!”

There is no information about the background of the suspect at this time.

Recently, cases of naked men rampaging through the streets of Germany have made headlines, including an African migrant who repeatedly runs naked through the streets of Neuffen.

In Poland, two Ethiopian migrants were filmed running through the streets of Lubin.
