According to well-known Polish journalist Pawel Lisicki, Viktor Orbán has truly become the leader of a conservative counter-revolution.

In an opinion piece published in the influential newspaper Do Rzeczy, where he serves as editor-in-chief, Lisicki writes that “looking at Viktor Orbán’s actions. I see what the Polish right-wing could have done while it was in power if it had not allowed itself to be intimate with and paralyzed by Brussels.”

According to the journalist, the Polish right wing did not see the opportunity given to it by the Polish people in general, which contributed to the Law and Justice (PiS) party’s loss during the last national elections. In contrast, Orban continues to secure majorities of two-thirds in the Hungarian parliament, despite the best efforts from Brussels to stop him.

“Nothing shows this better than the fight against the greatest ideological threat to the national order, which manifests itself in the form of gender ideology. Despite various more or less successful rhetorical tricks, the previous Polish government did nothing to effectively confront this attack,” writes Lisicki.

This is what Hungary did, according to the Polish author

According to Lisicki, Hungary has done the opposite of Polish conservatives. Hungary has ignored enormous pressure from Brussels bureaucrats. Last Tuesday, the Budapest parliament passed a law banning gatherings that violate child protection laws. The new regulation imposes fines on organizers of LGBT marches, including the Pride Parade, and the legislation introduced is an extension of the child protection law.

According to the Polish editor, the Hungarian government recognizes that the public display of homosexuality, the promotion of homosexual behavior and other sexual orientations, is a form of attack on the right to a safe upbringing of children.

According to Lisicki, Hungary’s move in this regard is the right and logical step. It is no coincidence that representatives of the LGBT movement always place such a great emphasis on gaining control over the education system.

“The sponsors of the revolution, such as billionaire George Soros, understand this very well, as do activists and all kinds of experts. To normalize perversion, you need to start with children. Therefore, kindergartens and schools are the main battlefield,” the author wrote.

Hungary’s ability to stand up to Brussels plays out in many other ways as well, all the way from the topic of Ukraine to the migration crisis.

“Well, I can only envy Hungary. Prime Minister Orbán understands very well what protecting national sovereignty means today,” Lisicki wrote.
