The Hessian community of Kriftel is currently grappling with a climate of fear as massive threats from a 34-year-old Syrian asylum seeker, identified as Khaled K., have been mounting for months. His nighttime emails, sent from various Gmail accounts, number over 100 messages and contain violent fantasies, hatred toward Germany, Christianity, and women. In addition, he has also issued direct terror threats.
Since his messages are in broken German, it is difficult to translate them with complete accuracy. Many of them are extremely disturbing.
“I’ll f**k your child. German woman (sic) are sluts and Nazis, it’s a sultry country. I’ll f**k you in the district court… I’ll do it.“ Just hours later, he followed up with: “I’ll f**k you if they don’t hire me out then I’ll kill you.“
The threat scenario is based on more than 100 messages sent to the city administration over the last two years. While it was initially unclear who the specific targets were, Kriftel Mayor Christian Seitz confirmed that municipal employees are primarily affected.
According to police sources, the individual faces several criminal charges for insult and threats. Local authorities find themselves unable to respond to the various threats, according to a report from German outlet Nius.
In June 2025, Khaled K. wrote: “I know you want me to keep causing problems. I said last time. If I don’t get out of here, I’ll gladly break everything.”
By December, the messages turned more graphic: “I’ll f**k your child. German woman (sic) are sluts and Nazis, it’s a sultry country. I’ll f**k you in the district court and the month 12. I’ll do it, it has to because it’s sooooooooooo.“ Just hours later, he followed up with: “I’ll f**k you if they don’t hire me out then I’ll kill you.“
At the start of 2026, the rhetoric reached a peak following the scheduled, but ultimately canceled, visit of Syrian leader Abu Mohammad al-Jolani to Berlin.
K. announced: “I promise you: If the terrorist Golani (sic) comes to Berlin, then I will kill everything I see before me, women, children, and everything.“
He later expanded his targets, stating: “All countries that support the terrorist government in Syria […] are a goal for us.“ He concluded with a direct threat to the German population. “Now it is time to die…The most important thing is that the lives of all Germans are destroyed.“
Khaled K. arrived in Germany during the 2016 refugee wave and is a recognized refugee. Sources say his psychological state fell apart significantly following relationship problems and a breakup. Though he briefly left Kriftel after giving up social housing, he returned and currently resides in a home for the homeless. He is also frequently accused of having alcohol problems.
In addition to his threatening emails, he has allegedly smashed glass bottles in the town hall parking lot and insulted residents and refugee aid workers. The West Hesse police confirmed that several cases for property damage are pending before the Frankfurt am Main public prosecutor’s office.
Many of his emails are full of misogyny and religious hatred.
In 2024, he wrote: “My penis, Kreftel Community, I’m Khaled K. I’m going to f**k you over religion. Because tomorrow is their day of hell. They’re basically garbage and hell.“
His insults toward women are constant, including phrases like “German women are sluts,” “Your ass is only for f**king slut,” and “You’re a slut because your ass wants to f**k.”
🇩🇪 Despite 18-year-old Mohammad I. being found guilty of torturing and assaulting a 13-year-old German boy, the convicted man will only receive probation for 2 years.
Judge Rüdiger Baumann of the Dresden District Court condemned the act as “sadistic and inhumane."

In late 2025, he called Christianity “the dirtiest and most disgusting religion pig. He further wrote: “I mean everything Christian pig and sultry and smut learn well who you read I f**k you (sic).“ On New Year’s Eve, he sent a message stating: “I f**k the back of the Virgin Mary. Then I f**k Jesus, the pig […] I will fuck everything that hurts inside and German woman is slut and Nazis (sic).”
Perhaps the greatest concern is that this long history of threats will materialize into a real attack, just like the December 2024 attack in Magdeburg, where a Saudi doctor killed six people after previously announcing acts of violence and hatred for Germans.
Police officials expressed concern that Khaled K. must be stopped before his “confused plans” can be implemented.
However, it is not easy to simply deport the man or place him in prison. The Main-Taunus District Immigration Office has initiated revocation proceedings with the BAMF regarding K.’s protected status. Mayor Christian Seitz confirmed that threatening emails occur “unfortunately repeatedly“ and were the subject of a community meeting. The Hessian Ministry of the Interior referred inquiries back to local police, who have conducted “threat interviews” but claim their hands are tied because the man has not yet committed a “serious crime.”
Remarkably, police advised concerned residents to simply change sides of the street if they encounter Khaled K. in the village. Until the administrative proceedings conclude, the man remains in the town, with a potential disaster on the horizon if the man decides to take action.
