Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of the Law and Justice party (PiS), accepted the Gazeta Polska 2019 Man of the Year award in person for his track record of winning elections as the leader of Poland’s conservative movement.
The PiS leader expressed his gratitude for the award and emphasized that the honor was even greater this time, as he was receiving it alongside archbishop Marek Jędraszewski who had already “written himself into Polish history as a great priest.”
The Gazeta Polska clubs often feature victims who say they have experienced injustice in the Polish court system. These victims, along with other community members, have organized to advocate reforms in the Polish court system
The PiS leader stressed the importance of the role of the Gazeta Polska Clubs in the effort behind the “Great Front” for a free and united Poland.
Kaczyński underlined that although some said he received the award for winning two elections in 2019, he warned that the “deciding” presidential elections were still ahead.
