Poland has given Ukraine another 5,000 Starlink Enterprise terminals, taking their total of such devices given to Ukraine to 29,500, the most of any country. Zelensky needs all the help he can get, as the two sides still seem far from any tenable ceasefire and battles are raging on the Russian border.
Kyiv specifically thanked the Polish Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski, along with the entire Polish government, for the terminals. “We are grateful to the Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski, the Polish government, and all partners for supporting Ukraine!” the press release reads.
“Poland continues to support Ukraine in ensuring stable communication — it has delivered 5,000 Starlink Enterprise terminals. They will help Ukrainians maintain contact even in the most difficult conditions,” it said, as cited by Wydarzenia.
The announcement emphasized that Starlink terminals provide Ukraine with “uninterrupted connectivity even in the most difficult places,” enabling hospitals, schools and critical infrastructure facilities to operate without disruption.
“These terminals help the military, energy workers, doctors, rescuers and companies work even during power outages and communications blackouts,” the release said.
To date, Ukraine has received over 50,000 Starlink terminals from “international partners and donors,” but the largest number has been donated by Poland.
As U.S. President Trump pushes for peace, there have been ongoing concerns about continued support in terms of equipment and other aid, with Trump even cutting off all intelligence at one point and saying the U.S. would cease all assistance altogether. These threats were walked back and intelligence feeds reconnected, especially with Zelensky on board with a potential peace deal.
However, in the meantime, there was a war of words between the Polish foreign minister and Elon Musk after the Starlink CEO seemed to say he would cut off his terminals to the country.
A 30-day ceasefire against energy infrastructure eventually reached between Ukraine and Russia has reportedly been breached by both sides, with many wondering if any near-term peace is possible.
Putin has told his troops he wants Kursk, occupied by Ukrainian troops since last August, liberated as soon as possible. A report out of Reuters cites war bloggers claiming hundreds of Zelensky’s soldiers are now “holed up in a monastery” in Western Kursk.
Meanwhile, Wion News is reporting that Kyiv has launched another offensive in the Belgorod region of Russia “after losing Kursk,” claiming the Russians are “asserting dominance on the battlefield.”
