Poland: Tusk presidential candidate drops in latest poll, while 57% of respondents view Tusk himself negatively

A majority of Poles are not happy with the current left-liberal government, according to the latest survey

In the first round of the presidential elections, Rafał Trzaskowski (KO) can count on 34.1% of support, while Karol Nawrocki (PiS) would get 25.7%, and Sławomir Mentzen (Konfederacja) 16.2%, according to a poll by United Surveys for Wirtualna Polska, reports wPolityce.

Although in first, Trzaskowski saw a drop of 2.5 percentage points compared to the previous survey, while Nawrocki received 0.3 percentage points more.

Meanwhile, Mentzen saw the biggest increase of 6.5 percentage points.

The portal notes that Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki will battle it out in the second round, saying that the mayor of Warsaw (Trzaskowski) maintains the advantage, with projected support dropping to 52.8%, and Nawrocki gaining 2.1 points to 41.9% of votes.

The survey results are only for voters who know who they will definitely vote for. 

In another survey reported on by Do Rzeczy, respondents were asked: “Are you satisfied with the actions of Donald Tusk’s government so far?” The majority of answers came in unfavorable for Tusk at 57%. 

Those with a decidedly negative opinion of the government came in at 33%, while 24% answered “rather” negatively, 7% of respondents answered “definitely yes” and 24% answered “rather yes.” Another 12% of respondents were unable to clearly assess the government’s actions.
