Polish presidential candidate Sławomir Mentzen of the right-wing Confederation party told Polsat News that Zelensky presented impossible conditions to the White House.
“We have to come to an agreement with Putin somehow to end this conflict,” Mentzen said.
Mentzen claims Zelensky “lost his cool” with Trump, while also admitting “Trump and Vance clearly provoked him a little and unfortunately achieved their goal.” He says that “Zelensky couldn’t handle it.”
The Confederation candidate then stressed that “Europe must grow up. Politicians from Europe must understand that in war, it is strength that counts, not tweets or writing with crayons on the pavement.”
Mentzen has been doing well in polls, with the election right around the corner, and believes he has “a better chance of defeating Rafał Trzaskowski (KO) than Karol Nawrocki (PiS) in the second round.”
The politician pointed out that the European elites have disarmed Europe and are currently engaged in “nonsense,” including the green agenda and censoring free speech.
“Russia acted terribly and attacked Ukraine because it could. Because Europe is so weak,” he emphasized.
Mentzen expressed his conviction that Ukraine would not be defended without U.S. support and Trump had to “bend Zelensky.” Now, he says, the U.S. president must also bend Putin to achieve peace.
Mentzen is usually polling in third place in the presidential race, but one recent poll had him in second place for the first time. According to the poll, Mentzen would face Trzaskowski in the second round of the presidential elections.
