U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated businessman Tom Rose, former publisher of the Jerusalem Post and senior advisor to former Vice President Mike Pence, as the new American ambassador to Poland.

“Thomas is a highly respected businessman and commentator, who had a successful radio show on Sirius XM for nearly a decade, and served as publisher and CEO of The Jerusalem Post. He will make sure our interests are represented in Poland, and always put America first,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Rose was a guest on wPOLSCE24 TV on election day and visited Warsaw at the invitation of MEP Adam Bielan for “ECR Study Days” in December. Rose posted about meeting Polish President Duda in December as well:

“What an honor it was for me to meet America’s greatest friend in Europe, Polish President Andrzej  Duda.”

Back in 2019, Rose publicly defended Poland and its heroism during World War II on X after reporter Andrea Mitchell referred to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943 as a revolt against Poles and Nazis.

Mitchell apologized after serious backlash, including from the World Jewish Congress, with Rose reposting her correction and clarifying: “Not only was Polish government ‘not involved’ in crushing the Warsaw Ghetto uprising — the Polish Government, refusing to surrender to Hitler, fled to London where it joined w/Allies to kept up the fight to liberate Poland and all occupied Europe from Nazi hell.”

According to the wPolityce news portal, Rose has also mocked the European left’s installation of Donald Tusk as Polish PM to “restore the rule of law” in Poland.
