According to a United Surveys poll for Wirtualna Polska, as many as 57.5 percent of respondents say President Karol Nawrocki is doing a good job. He enjoys significantly greater support among men.
Respondents were asked how they assessed Karol Nawrocki as president of the Republic of Poland. The majority of respondents, 57.5 percent, view the current president positively, with 25 percent expressing a strong positive opinion and 32.5 percent expressing a rather positive opinion.
However, 32.9 percent expressed the opposite opinion. Of this group, 12.6 percent expressed a strongly negative opinion of Nawrocki’s presidency, while 20.3 percent expressed a rather negative opinion.
The new president is viewed most critically by rural residents, with 38 percent of respondents rating him negatively.
He is also viewed negatively by 36 percent of residents of large cities with populations over 250,000. Meanwhile, he scores highest among residents of small towns of up to 50,000 (60 percent positive). The portal noted that rural areas have previously been considered home to the core Law and Justice (PiS) party electorate.
Support in specific age groups
The survey shows that Nawrocki enjoys good ratings among those aged 18-29, with 73 percent of respondents viewing him positively and 27 percent negatively.
Among those aged 30-39, 67 percent view him positively and 22 percent negatively. The new president has fewer supporters among those aged 40-49, with 59 percent viewing him positively and 33 percent negatively.
Among those aged 50-59, 53 percent view him positively and 28 percent negatively, and among those aged 60-69, 57 percent view him positively and 35 percent negatively. Among older people aged 70 and over, 42 percent view Nawrocki positively and 52 percent negatively.
Political scientist Prof. Antoni Dudek assessed for WP that the high support for Nawrocki in the youngest age group is understandable, stating, “A candidate from the lower classes who has achieved a stunning career may appeal to many, especially young people. They are impressed, and they are waiting for him to disrupt the system – the Civic Platform-Law and Justice party duopoly.”
When it comes to preference among the sexes, men (69 percent) definitely see Karola Nawrocki as a better choice for the new president than women (44 percent).
The survey was conducted by United Surveys by IBRiS for Wirtualna Polska using the CATI/CAWI method on September 13-15, 2025, on a sample of 1,000 people.
