According to in formation uncovered by an Egyptian investigative journalist, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s family bought a $5 million luxury villa in Egypt, right next to the estate of actress Angelina Jolie. Documents provided by the journalist show the villa was purchased in the middle of the war.
The information has not been corroborated, but has been widely reported, including in the Hungarian press.
The real estate documents were revealed by Egyptian blogger and journalist Mohammed Al-Alawi, who provided what he says is exclusive evidence.
According to the investigation, Olga Kiyashko, whose name is the same as that of Zelensky’s mother-in-law, is the owner of a luxury estate worth $5 million. The journalist produced a video detailing his claims.
According to those quoted in the article, Zelensky’s family may have acquired a luxury villa in the “city of millionaires.” The luxurious El Gouna estate is a luxury resort on the Red Sea coast, often referred to as the Venice of Egypt. The estate features a huge villa with what is described as beautiful interior decoration and a swimming pool.

The luxury villa has panoramic sea views and a private beach. The villa is also adjacent to the estate of world-famous Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.
According to a document published in The Medium, the villa was purchased by Zelensky’s mother-in-law in May 2023, in the middle of the war in Ukraine, for 150 million Egyptian pounds, or approximately $4.85 million.
Zelensky himself has been implicated in the Pandora Papers. The Guardian reported on his offshore holdings, noting he criticized such behavior from oligarchs in the past.
The Guardian wrote: “The leaked documents suggest (Zelensky) had – or has – a previously undisclosed stake in an offshore company, which he appears to have secretly transferred to a friend weeks before winning the presidential vote.”
Estimates of Zelensky’s personal fortune have fluctuated wildly, but Forbes places his net worth at $20 million.
