The Polish movie was declared the Best European Film of 2018. Pawlikowski himself received the award for European Director and European Screenwriter whereas lead actress Joanna Kulig was deemed the best European Actress. Film editor Jarosław Kamiński also won an award.

The Best European Animated Feature was awarded to Pole Damian Nenowa and Spaniard Raul de la Fuente for their “Another Day of Life”.
