The value of foreign investments has grown by a third in Poland, heading to a record €2.9 billion in 2019, a major factor driving Poland’s already strong economy forward.
In 2019, foreign companies made the positive decision to locate 56 investment projects in Poland, according to PAIH data. This is a decrease in the number of initiated investments compared to the record in 2018, when there had been 71.
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) pointed out that the value of the investments is more important than their number, and the value grew by over a third in 2019 compared to 2018, heading up to €2.9 billion.
Grażyna Ciurzyńska, the acting head of PAIH, noted that investments are key and lead to strong development of the economy, as well as stable and high-quality workplaces.
She underlined that reinvestments comprised almost half of the projects served by PAIH in 2019, including those of coroprate giants such as Toyota and PSA.
