A 14-year-old extremist Muslim girl is considered so dangerous that the German government is building its own “high-security container” to house her. Currently, she resides in the city of Paderborn, but will be transferred to the new site in the coming months.
The secure site will be fenced in, monitored by cameras, and strictly controlled.
In August, the 14-year-old girl, then 13, stabbed a caregiver in the back inside a psychiatric hospital in Paderborn. Now, no facility in Germany wants her due to her threat level.
Before arriving at the first clinic, she was under around-the-clock police surveillance due to suspicions she was planning a terror attack.
Currently, the Paderborn prosecutor says the 14-year-old will be “cared for there by specialists and security personnel, shielded from the public.”
The container has not yet been built, but once completed, inside her “high-security container,” the 14-year-old girl will “receive intensive educational support,” according to German public news media WDR.
It remains unclear how much just this one girl has cost German taxpayers, on top of the psychological and physical cost to the victim she stabbed in the back. However, another Islamist who required 24-hour surveillance and police escort had cost the German state €5 million, including 95,000 man-hours that were spent on him. In addition, over the course of one year, 99 percent of serious terror cases were Islam-related in Germany, with many of these cases involving enormous court and administrative resources.
