The head of the Agreement party, Jarosław Gowin told Polsat News that the compromise he reached with PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński allows Poland to avoid a constitutional crisis as “the elections on May 10 would have been questioned by many for the next 5 years, no matter the victor”.
The party leader explained that his talks with Kaczyński went well and were held in a positive atmosphere. PM Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy PM Jadwiga Emiliewicz and Deputy Minister of Defense Marcin Ociepa also took part in the negotiations.
“Together with Kaczyński, we knew that for the good of Poland and for the stability of the government, we should not create a political crisis on top of the already existing health and economic cataclysms,” Gowin said.
