Poland’s right-wing ruling coalition needs to unite in support of President Andrzej Duda during the upcoming election, urged Jarosław Kaczyński, the leader of Poland’s Law and Justice (PiS) party, in an interview with Polish magazine Gazeta Polska.
“President Duda will only win if everyone is working for his success rather than looking to further their own interests” warned the ruling party leader.
“All politicians on our side must be aware that they must forget about their own careers and ambitions, or attempts to build their own power bases or parties,” he continued.
Kaczyński was alluding to the fact that in recent weeks both the “Solidarity Poland” led by justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro and the “Agreement” party led by Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin have emphasized their different approaches to judicial reform and some economic issues in Poland.
