“Without a dynamic return of nuclear energy, we will not be able to face climate challenges,” Poland’s minister of energy Krzysztof Tchórzewski believes. “In Poland, if we want to overcome these challenges, we must make a fast choice now.”
Nuclear energy will bring a solution to climate challenges as well as clean energy and energetic security.

The Polish energy policy project foresees the construction of six nuclear blocks from 2033 to 2040. The idea is a natural consequence of the limiting of coal resources in the current infrastructure.
The director of the department of nuclear energy, Józef Sobolewski claims that full data on the price of this endeavor will only be known after an agreement is signed with a general contractor. “Believable data will only be known once there is an offer on the table,” he said.
The costs are estimated to be between 100 to 150 bln PLN. If there is strong support from the national treasury, then the costs will be 150 PLN/MWh and in commercial conditions, 450 PLN/MWh.
