The vote took place at the request of the PM himself, explaining that Poles need unity during the pandemic and economic crisis. He asserted that the government did its job well in containing the coronavirus and supporting businesses.
The Sejm affirmed its confidence in the government. In a vote largely along party lines, 235 out of 460 MPs voting in support and 219 MPs voting against. Two MPs abstained and the rest did not participate. The 235 voting in support comprised PiS MPs as well as those from Agreement and Solidarity Poland parties). Opposition came from 134 Civic Platform MPs, 48 Left MPs, 28 PSL MPs and 9 Confederation MPs.
