In the 80th minute, the stands exploded with joy again. Lewandowski swiftly passed the ball to Arkadiusz Milik with his heel, who moved towards the goal and struck from 20 meters right inside Macedonian’s goalposts!
The fight for second place in Group G which gives instant advance to the final tournament is still on.
In a very important match over the weekend, the Slovenians faced Austria in their own stadium. The guests took the lead in the 21st minute, after a goal scored by Stefan Posch.
Although the hosts tried their best, they could not find a way to break through the Austrian defense. The Austrians have significantly increased their chances to lead the qualification group along with Poland. It remains to be seen who will go through over the coming months, but it looks extremely promising for Poland!
