CD Projekt is now worth $8 billion, making it the second largest video game company in Europe, with much of its success owing to hit computer games such as “The Witcher”

CD Project is now fourth in terms of share value on the Polish stock exchange and emerged as one of the most influential video game studios in the world, with only France’s Ubisoft larger in Europe.

It was “The Witcher” series which first put the Polish company on the map. Every version of the game has been an enormous commercial success, with the third edition, known as “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”, being considered one of the best games of the decade.

Tied to the recent increase in sales and profits generated from “The Witcher” titles, has been the massive success of the recent “Witcher” televsion series being broadcasted by Netflix, which has directly led to an increase in net worth for CD Projekt.

The Netflix series has led to a 554 percent increase in sales of the third edition of the game.

Cyberpunk 2077, a futuristic role-playing and first-person shooter, is already being hailed as a success despite the fact that the game has not yet even been released.

The game is one of the most awaited releases of this year and pre-release orders have already raised substantial profits for CD Projekt.

CD Projekt, like the whole Polish gaming industry, seems to be going places.
