In the latest poll conducted by the Pollster Research Institute for the tabloid Super Express, potential candidates for the 2025 presidential elections were evaluated based on party supporters’ preferences.
According to the survey results, Rafał Trzaskowski garnered the most support among voters of the Civic Coalition (KO), Third Way alliance, and the Left party, receiving 55 percent of the votes.
Szymon Hołownia (Third Way) followed with 16 percent, while Donald Tusk (KO) amassed 12 percent. Further down, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz (Third Way) received 4 percent, with Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk (New Left party) and Adrian Zandberg (left-wing Together party) each getting 2 percent, while Robert Biedroń (the Left) was chosen by only 1 percent of the respondents.
For voters of the United Right, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emerged as the top candidate for president, gaining 50 percent support.
He was followed by another former leader, Beata Szydło, with 15 percent, and Jarosław Kaczyński, whom 9 percent of respondents would like to see in the Presidential Palace. The list continued with Mariusz Błaszczak receiving 5 percent, Marcin Mastalerek at 4 percent, and Joachim Brudziński at 1 percent — all politicians represent the conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party.
“When a leading candidate secures over half of the support from their own electorate, less effort is needed to convince their base, allowing more focus on reaching out to voters outside their immediate circle,” explained political scientist Prof. Olgierd Annusewicz.
“Both Trzaskowski and Morawiecki can be pleased with these results. Trzaskowski is attractive today not only to those who voted for the Civic Coalition. As for the PiS electorate, a significant change is visible. Mateusz Morawiecki has built a strong position,” he added.
