Wałęsa posted photos of his visit to the polling station on Facebook. The former President had gone not only to vote, but also to manifest his political views. The “KONSTYTUCJA” t-shirt is a well-known symbol of anti-government protests. Such an action is a violation of Poland’s “election silence” – the law which bans any political agitation for 30 hours before voting starts on election day, especially at the polling stations:
Publicist Rafał Ziemkiewicz commented, that Wałęsa should be fined, as the word “constitution” in that typography is a “symbol associated with a certain political group.”:

Just before the weekend in an interview with “Wirtualna Polska”, Wałęsa claimed that it is necessary to keep an eye on local elections, as “Poland is ruled by very dishonest people.” He then went on, that “these people are such liars, so treacherous, that they are ready to do anything. This is worse than Stalinism, worse than Hitlerism. In the case of PiS, nothing is holy.”
Everyone who is breaking the constitution should be trialed. They will be trialed after a civil war. (…) A few army colonels would do the job
Wałęsa also alluded to civil war, by saying that “everyone who is breaking the constitution should be trialed. They will be trialed after a civil war.” He added that “a few army colonels would do the job.”
