A new viral video showcases just how horrifying the French school system can now be, with a 17-year-old Black male filmed chasing his victim down with a knife as students and adults scream on in horror.

The aggressor has now been placed under arrest and charged with attempted murder after stabbing his victim three times at the private Saint Jean-Baptiste de la Salle middle school in Nîmes. In fact, the Black male was not even a student in the school but had a girlfriend who was in the school. She has also been arrested for pointing out the victim to the attacker.

The victim was repeatedly stabbed in the back but his life is not in danger at this time. Medical workers administered first aid and transported him to the hospital.

Investigators determined that the Black male suspect entered the school grounds to look for his victim, according to French news outlet Objectif Arles Gard.

“The police intervened very quickly,” indicates the prosecutor Cécile Gensac.

One student said the suspect was “dressed in all black.”

In one short scene in the video, the suspect is seen running through an archway after his victim shortly before stabbing him. The knife is seen in his hands.

The suspect was arrested shortly after the stabbing. It remains unclear why he stabbed the victim. Sources inside the school said that it appears the suspect knew his victim and was actively looking for him.

Notably, the stabbing took place in a private school. Private schools have soared in popularity in France due to the worsening security situation in many of the country’s public schools. Remix News reported on how even liberal parents in Paris are increasingly choosing private schools for their children.

In Paris, a software program was introduced to select students and place them in more affluent public schools, with these more elite schools previously able to select the students that could attend. According to L’Express, the government’s end goal has been to diversify the student body of these elite schools, which are predominately White and upper-income.

L’Express also described how “more and more left-wing parents attached to diversity are now resigned to writing motivation letters to enroll their children in religious institutions. It is the only alternative to avoid public secondary school.”

“These parents find themselves faced with a difficult choice: to opt for a private ghetto or a public ghetto knowing that neither reflects the social reality of their neighborhood,” laments Grenet.

As showcased in this article, Remix News had covered some of the most extreme violence caught on video in French schools, with White students often the victim of attacks.

As Remix News reported in 2023, France’s “historic collapse” in PISA academic ratings is tied to its exploding foreign population, as 40 percent of those under the age of four are immigrants or of immigrant origin.

French professor Joachim Le Floch-Imad, the director of the Fondation Res Publica and author of “Tolstoy. A philosophical life” wrote the following:

“This specific development takes place in a context of sudden acceleration in immigration. 40 percent of those under 4 in France are immigrants or of immigrant origin. Nearly half a million foreigners enter each year and the number of births of children to both parents from abroad has increased by 59 percent in 20 years. Schools like Aix-Marseille, Créteil, Mayotte and Guyana are particularly affected by these dynamics, but no part of the national territory is now immune, sometimes with great successes… It is clear, however, that the machine for creating citizens is broken down and that immigration, for at least two reasons, is exacerbating the educational decline to which France is prey.”
