Comedian and actress Nawell Madani is under investigation for kicking 6-year-old Djulian in the chest earlier this week after the child attempted to take a photo with her. The young boy “simply wanted to take a photo with her,” the father told press, a claim supported by other witnesses at the scene.

A local resident filmed the attack as well. The boy was hospitalized at Necker Hospital.

The Paris prosecutor’s office has confirmed that an investigation against Madani has been opened for “violence against a child under 15.” Madani, currently touring her new show “Tout Court” and recently a judge for Miss France 2025, voluntarily went to the 8th arrondissement police station, according to Le Parisien.

Madani’s statement to police included that she “had been approached by children, had been afraid of being robbed, and had struck a child.”

“We’d just had dinner when we ran into Nabil, a local who knows us from social media,” says the father of four sons, aged 6 to 13, who together have a TikTok account boasting over 10,000 followers.

It was then that Madani walked past the group, and Nabil, a former extra on one of the actress’s films, greeted her. Djulian then asked his father if he could take a photo with her.

“I said yes,” confided Bebethan, accustomed to this type of request from his children. “They often take photos with influencers, at events, concerts, in the street… It’s always gone well,” he told Le Parisien.

However, Dawani was apparently in no mood for fan pics, and angrily warned the brothers to stay away when they ran over to her to get a photo.

“She got angry with us, then she said, ‘Stay back,'” he recalls. “The older ones stopped dead in their tracks,” Bebethan recalled. “But Djulian was already running, and since he didn’t hear, he kept running toward her.”

Djulian then saw a small dog in the comedian’s purse and immediately went to pet it. “He wanted to pet it, like any child would,” the father said. That was when Dawani turned violent.

“She turned around and gave him a huge kick in the chest,” Nabil said, still in shock. “The kid flew and crashed to the ground. While he was on the ground, I heard her say to the child, ‘Now you’re going to respect me,'” he said.

Six-year-old Djulian reportedly got up, crying, before running screaming into his father’s arms.

“Luckily, the father kept his cool,” Nabil emphasized. “I was so furious and I told her she had no business hitting a 6-year-old,” added Bebethan.

Nawell Madani allegedly took out her phone and filmed Nabil trying to confront her about what she had done, as shown in her video sent to Le Parisien, continuously yelling that the boys wanted to take her purse.

“I think she realized her mistake and started calling us names, accusing the children of trying to rob her and calling them thugs and scum,” Nabil told the portal.

After Djulian was taken to the hospital, Madani reportedly left the scene. “She went her own way without even worrying about Djulian’s condition,” Bebethan stated.

Luckily, the boy had no serious injuries. “Djulian was mainly in shock and suffering from the impact,” said his father, who later that night filed a complaint at the 17th arrondissement police station.

Djulian went back to the hospital for further tests the next day, as he “continued to complain of chest pain,” Bebethan added.
