Parents and teachers oppose LGBTQ+ ideology in Poland as activist denies reality

This past June, Poznań spent €94,000 of taxpayer funds to pay for an LGBT march. In addition, there was a debate hosted about "queer migrants."

Apparently, parents and teachers — at least at one school — are not so happy about having the LGBTQ+ agenda forced on their kids and have decided to do something about it.

Activist Mateusz Sulwiński posted on his Facebook page that LGBTQ+ activists in the Polish city of Poznań are sorely disappointed over the cancellation of their planned “teacher training.”

Apparently, the teachers themselves protested the activity, “much to the activist’s surprise,” writes Do Rzeczy

Sulwiński noted that most of these events are free, and everything for this particular training had already been arranged.

He then goes on to admit that both school boards and parent groups have “actively” stood in their way, but apparently, this is all the fault of the previous conservative ruling party.

“Experience has taught us that an invitation alone isn’t enough. From the first contact to the actual school visit, many things can get complicated. Under the Law and Justice party (PiS), it’s common knowledge that the biggest problems were caused by school boards,” he wrote.

“Parent groups actively working to prevent queer kids from accidentally improving their situation were problematic,” Sulwiński added.

Calling the teachers’ protest “a new development,” the activist then bemoans such an atmosphere where “staff isn’t even ready to discuss the existence of LGBT+ people” and then claims that such a stance shows “a lack of willingness to develop one’s own teaching skills,” which he says should raise concerns about the teachers’ professionalism and ethics.

Sulwiński declined to reveal which institution withdrew from the training, as it “wouldn’t have accomplished anything good at this stage.”

This past June, Poznań used PLN 400,000 (€94,000) of taxpayer funds to pay for an LGBT march, a new record amount of funding for the Equality March.

Poznań Pride 2025 also sponsored a performance by one of the world’s most popular drag queens. The city went all out, with discussion panels, film screenings, theater performances, and parties. There was even one very special event: a debate on “queer migrants.”

With parent groups and school boards standing up to such ideology, Poznań Pride may soon find it more difficult to use public funds for such shows.
