Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán thanked Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini on social media for standing up for two young Hungarian women who were attacked by migrants in Catania.
He also slammed Brussels’ migration policy as “unacceptable” and unsustainable.
“Another heinous sexual assault by migrants in Europe: this time, two young Hungarian women were victimized in Catania. Thank you, Matteo Salvini, for taking a stand,” he posted.
Taking direct aim at the European Commission, led by Ursula Von der Leyen, he continued: “The migration policy of the EU Commission is unacceptable. Instead of stopping migration, they are busy with legal wrangling. Their failed policy led to this attack. This sexual assault lies on the conscience of the Brussels bureaucrats.”
Orbán ended his post, stating, “This cannot go on any longer! Rebellion, rebellion, rebellion!”

For his part, Matteo Salvini posted on Instagram, calling for the chemical castration and expulsion of the Moroccans who committed violence against Hungarian tourists in Sicily.
In his post, Salvini shared the front page of an article on the subject from the Italian television website and wrote: “ Zero tolerance: chemical castration and expulsion!”
Two MEPs from Salvini’s League party, Susanna Ceccardi and Raffaele Stancanelli, issued a joint statement on Monday, saying that the violence against Hungarian tourists is “the consequence of a disastrous migration policy,” writes Hirado.
“An immediate change of direction is needed: the return of migrants to their countries, effective expulsions, clear rules for those entering Europe, broader powers and more resources for Frontex,” their statement read.
As reported by Remix News, the two Hungarian women, who had spent the day at the beach in Catania, were attacked by three men of Moroccan origin aged 21, 22, and 24, all of whom were in Italy illegally. The suspects have been arrested and remanded in custody.
