In the span of a few days, the cocaine was found in banana crates in three different voivodships: Mazovian, Lower Silesia and Łódzkie. Altogether, the police have secured 220kg of the drug.
“We can confirm, that in the popular supermarkets in those three voivodships, the workers had revealed large amounts of what probably are intoxicants,” says junior warrant officer Antoni Rzeczkowski of the Polish Police Headquarters. “For the good of the investigation, we cannot reveal more information.”

Police officers have begun an investigation to determine the exact route of the bananas and who was responsible for their transport from South America.
The workers in whose stores the cocaine was found are also being interrogated.
