This will be the inaugural concert of the orchestra, established by internationally renowned Roma musicians, Béla Szakcsy Lakatos and Lajos Kathy Horváth.
“The mission of the orchestra is to provide a geniune interpretation of the European Roma without a home country and also that of the other indigenous minorities of Europe,” said Szakcsi Lakatos, artistic director of the performance.
The 37-member orchestra will begin its inaugural concert with Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. Reinhardt will join the concert with her Dotschy Reinhardt Quartet.
