Recently, Remix News has experienced increasing censorship on the X social media platform. This is nothing new for Remix News, as we have a long history of being censored, whether it is Facebook, TikTok, or even old Twitter, where our account was banned for two years for a completely contrived reason. However, this latest bout of censoring comes after a recent speech delivered by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
In the speech, she compared free speech to a “virus” that needs to be inoculated — all through the use of so-called “prebunking.”
”If you think of information manipulation as a virus. Instead of treating an infection once it has taken hold—that is debunking—it is much better to vaccinate so that the body is inoculated. Prebunking is the same approach. Because disinformation relies on people passing it on to others,” she stated.
So here we have Ursula von der Leyen describing free speech as a virus and censorship as its vaccine……. pic.twitter.com/ApIUT4UMPq

Essentially, under Orwellian terms like “disinformation,” the EU is now supposedly throttling reach on content that does not fit its narrative. This new term for censorship is “prebunking.”
It cannot be proven who is censoring Remix News, as both the EU and X itself are not transparent about how censorship takes place or how it is enacted. However, through the Digital Services Act (DSA), there is no doubt that censorship is taking place.
None of the Remix News posts being censored are factually incorrect and none of them are “fake news” or “disinformation.” However, they do showcase the incredible crime problem brought on by mass immigration, and that is exactly the kind of topic that the EU is desperate to stamp out. This is especially true at a time when the EU’s establishment parties are increasingly threatened due to their own disastrous policies, with immigration only one of many, but perhaps the topic most likely to be censored.
How is Remix News being censored?
Before noting some of these recent posts that are being censored, it must first be established how Remix News is aware that posts are being censored. It is actually quite straightforward. When a post has been censored on X, it is not just a matter of reduced reach, but there are also a number of other tell-tale signs. This includes the inability to link posts outside of X or embed them into third-party apps or websites, including this one.
Remix News is far from the only website experiencing this trend, with even German police officials being targeted with these censorship methods.
What posts are being censored
Most posts facing censorship on X are related to crimes involving foreigners, and this is just a small sampling of the posts that have been censored over the last two months.
The first one involves a 5-year-old girl being the victim in a heinous sexual assault inside a toilet at an Austrian playground, which also showcased the suspect’s description while he was still on the run. The man also beat the young girl’s elderly caregiver. In the post, Remix News shared a composite sketch and description of the man, who still has not been apprehended.
In other words, censoring this X post not only had nothing to do with the facts of the case, which are not disputed, but also occurred as an act of censorship pertinent to public safety information.
Algerian arrested for rape of 15-year-old Frenchgirl
Just days ago, a Remix News post was censored involving an Algerian migrant who raped a 15-year-old girl in France, despite the man having an open deportation order and multiple crimes on his record. Remix News simply provided a translation of the news report, which was then censored on X.
French youth has his faced carved into the Joker’s smile by African migrant
In another post, a video report showcases how a young Frenchman who had his faced carved up into a “Joker’s smile” in Paris by a rampaging African illegal migrant with a long criminal record, who should have already been deported.
While running from police, the suspect also seriously injured another tourist in their face in a stabbing attack. Here is the link to the X post, which cannot be embedded into the website because it is censored.
This was just one of many posts that were censored on this specific attack that were published on X.
African man’s lawyer argues in court that he raped and beat his wife because of his ‘culture’
In another incident in Belgium, an African man placed a trash bag over his wife’s head before raping and strangling her, but his lawyer argues in court that he “comes from a culture where a woman has to satisfy her husband.” Again, this post was censored on X.
Convicted Afghan child rapist avoids jail
Another post described how a convicted Afghan child rapist, Irshad Ahmad, avoided prison in Sweden due to his age but was then charged again with raping a child, this time at gunpoint. He was convicted in July 2024 for the aggravated rape of a 13-year-old girl in Malmö. He and a friend held a knife to the girl and forced her to perform oral sex on them, threatening to kill her if she refused.
They filmed the attack. As Ahmad was 15 at the time, he was sentenced to just 10 months of youth supervision. The second attack took place in November last year, with prosecutors believing some form of firearm was used to coerce another minor into performing sex acts. As Ahmad, who arrived with his family from Afghanistan, is now a Swedish citizen as of 2022, he cannot be deported. Again, the post was censored, despite all this information being factual.
Brutal rape of German elderly woman
This post was also censored. A 24-year-old Algerian migrant is on trial in Germany for breaking into a disabled 66-year-old woman’s apartment in Stendal and brutally raping her — all while filming. The case, dating back to February 2025, involves the Algerian man threatening the woman with a knife. He then began raping the woman while filming much of the rape on his smartphone. The rape reportedly lasted for hours.
Eventually, the woman was able to call for help, at which time the perpetrator fled before being arrested. The Algerian migrant has no fixed address and has a long criminal record. He was also facing charges in Bielefeld for another crime.
Ukrainian girl mocks Germans on TikTok
Another video had nothing to do with migrant crime but instead featured a Ukrainian woman who was bragging about her easy life in Germany while mocking Germans. What is even worth censoring in this case is questionable, as this same video already has millions of views on TikTok. She posted it herself.
Who is censoring all of this content?
No appeal process, no transparency, and no recourse. The EU’s pre-bunking protocol could be responsible, but it would also be appropriate if X was more transparent with how and why these posts are being censored, which could also shed more light on the issue.
In general, most posts being censored tend to be about serious crimes involving migrants, many who were often already ordered to be deported for various past crimes but never were. These are the same type of crimes and incidents that are fueling support for right-wing parties across Europe, the same parties the EU is determined to keep from power. They will use censorship, lawfare, and of course, the DSA, to ensure this happens.
If these were “one-off” incidents and did not point to a broader trend seen across Europe, which is showcased by countless crime statistics, and even pointed out by police unions as the driving factor behind Europe’s soaring crime problem, then of course Remix News could be accused of some form of “promoting a fake agenda.” However, this is a broad and daily societal problem that is wreaking havoc across Europe, and these stories deserve to be heard and seen — no matter what the power structure in the EU, along with their various NGOs and activists, desire.
AI systems play an increasing role in censorship
To be clear, not every post is being censored on X, but whoever is behind these censorship efforts appears to be targeting certain posts, many of which are likely to spread to a larger audience. These posts are also censored incredibly quickly, which assumes either someone is assigned to watch Remix News, or AI systems are at work, or a combination of both.
Presumably, the EU’s Digital Service Act (DSA) and its enforcers are employing AI systems across the EU to target accounts like @RMXnews. There could even be a situation where “trusted flaggers” are watching the news flow across Europe, identifying which stories could attract the public’s attention, and then run keywords into their trackers that flag any account posting about them.
However, due to how opaque this process is, which organizations or individuals are behind these censorship efforts remains entirely hidden behind the curtain. How much X itself is involved in this censorship directly can only be speculated on as well.
Regardless, von der Leyen’s claim that “free speech” is alive and well in the EU is a flat-out lie and a perhaps a form of “disinformation” all in itself. It is only alive and well for pre-approved narratives that benefit the class that currently controls the political levers. For those who speak out of line, their houses can be raided and they can face prosecution. German law is even preparing for the ability for authorities to raid editorial offices without a warrant.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of our strong and vibrant European democracy.
We are proud of it. We will protect it.

The world they promised Europeans, one where migrants are saving the pension systems and where “diverse” societies would lead to a new era of prosperity, has hit a wall of reality. Mass migration has not only brought positives, but also countless negatives, including a collapsing education system, soaring debt to pay for newcomers, societal polarization, cultural clashes, a failing medical system, soaring terror threats, and much more.
Remix News may be yet again facing censorship, but it is important to continue reporting on the reality facing Europeans and the global West. The victims deserve to have their stories told after their lives were shattered and their security stolen. Only a very few ever come forward, likely terrified at being called racist, but some, after paying the ultimate cost, find their voice. They also deserve to have their story told.

The left will likely never be held accountable for the disaster that has been open borders, but even some on the leftists voicing opinions that would be commonplace on Remix News. It is important to remember this is not just a “right-wing” talking point, but a grave concern, even among those on the left, and certainly among the general population, as polling has shown.

Remix News, despite its incredibly small size, has caught the attention of larger influencers, including the likes of Elon Musk, who has shared or commented on our content on more than one occasion. This makes us targets, along with journalists and other outlets that publish content the EU elite do not approve of.
While Musk does not desire to have mass censorship on his platform, the EU is turning the screws and Western countries are increasingly threatening to ban the platform entirely. There appears to be no easy solution going ahead for free speech and the free flow of information, especially when the elite are in a desperate struggle to maintain their power.
