Equinix’s annual global IT report examining the largest IT trends affecting companies throughout the world has been released, and the results show Poland is investing heavily in digital infrastructure.
The report queries IT leaders from around the world and this year it especially focused on how the pandemic will affect investment plans in every country surveyed.
According to the report, 52 percent of Polish companies have transformed their IT infrastructure to adapt it to challenges associated with remote and hybrid work. Their IT budgets have been increased to hasten digital transformation. Forty-five percent of digital leaders in Poland believe that long-term changes will be made in their companies concerning where and how their employees will operate. Sixty percent of Polish companies still plan to expand into new regions, countries and metropolises despite issues caused by the pandemic.
The pandemic has led to the development of digitalization and investments in digital infrastructure, with 35 percent of surveyed digital leaders in Poland stating that due to the pandemic they have accelerated their plans concerning digital transformation. Thirty-three percent pointed out that the budgets of their companies have been increased to meet the quick rise in demand for digital solutions.
