PKN Orlen recently took over the Energia Group and is currently undergoing fusion with the Lotos Group.
On Tuesday, Orlen’s CEO Daniel Obajtek signed a letter of intent with the State Treasury to take capital control over the Polish Oil Mining and Gas Extraction Company (PGNiG).
PM Mateusz Morawiecki underlined that Polish energy companies are only medium-sized corporations on the European arena, compared to BP or Royal Dutch Shell.
