In an interview with leading daily Rzeczpospolita, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau slammed US behavior over the waiving of sanctions on the German-Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 and says that under President Joe Biden the US seems to equate Europe with German interests only.
Rau says he learned about Biden’s sanctions waiver from the media. Poland’s top diplomat did not expect any meeting between Biden and the Polish President Andrzej Duda in the near future.
But he said that the NATO summit in Brussels which precedes the Biden-Putin summit will at least provide an opportunity to discuss alleviating the security concerns caused by the sanctions waiver on Nord Stream 2.
