The number of tourists using Airbnb in Slovakia has increased by 108,000 and this means the biggest growth in the region among active users.
The countries of the Visegrad Group received 2.7 million tourists in total during 2017, where nearly 36,000 owners were providing housing for visitors.
Slovakia’s growth in yearly comparison reached 83 percent, while the Polish market grew by 70, Czech republic by 52 and Hungary by 44 percent.
The most visitors using the services of Airbnb are coming from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and France. According to experts, the sudden rise of Airbnb listings is not threatening traditional hotels.
