The Polish-British alliance is the new pillar of European security

The alliance between Poland and the United Kingdom is starting to become the most important security axis in Europe.

Germany, which is playing a very bizarre game with Russia, has found itself in a situation in which it has completely lost credibility when it comes to security guarantees both as part of NATO and in terms of energy security.

Due to this, only an axis which is credible to the United States may lead to a reconstruction of the European security system.

If the EU wants to have a future, it must expand itself for the United Kingdom’s return and also Ukraine’s accession.

Polish-British military cooperation is without a doubt the basis of this axis. It also gives hope for better economic cooperation, especially since it creates huge outlets by expanding the alliance through Ukraine. It is also a real alternative to Berlin’s age-old ambition to create a European superstate.

One can only hope that this alliance will become an impulse for a huge reform of the European Union, because if the European Union wants to have a future, it must expand itself for the United Kingdom’s return and also Ukraine’s accession.

Without this and without opening up to Europe’s remaining democratic countries, the EU will merely be an anachronistic creation and an increasingly less competitive one compared to powers such as the United States and China.
