‘Magneto, a mutant of great power, who hated humanity’ — Musk takes on long-time disruptors Soros and Gates for meddling in politics for decades

As the EU prepares to crack down on X and Elon Musk for “influencing” elections in Germany, Musk is calling attention to the massive influence billionaires have had on Europe for decades

In recent decades, money from the rich and powerful has been warmly embraced so long as those billionaires supported leftist, progressive and establishment causes and organizations. Now, with liberal leaders being toppled around the world and populists surging, the establishment is going into panic mode, and conveniently forgetting or deflecting the role of billionaires such as George Soros and Bill Gates.

However, Musk is using his megaphone to highlight the role of Soros in Europe, as well as Gates, albeit to a lesser degree. Notably, all of these posts were released within a period of 48 hours, and came after EU politicians accused Musk of “interfering” in politics in the EU.

In one post, Musk simply said “True” to a regional news account claiming that Soros and Gates have both “interfered with European politics for decades, spending huge sums to influence elections,” noting that “Merkel & Macron had no issues with it.”

Reposting another account calling out Soros for interfering in politics far more than people imagine, the X CEO called him “Magneto, a mutant of great power, who hated humanity.”

In a conversation, he stated plainly that Soros “fundamentally hates humanity — He’s doing things that erode the fabric of civilization.”

“George Soros pays them off (actually),” Musk responded via repost to another commentator who called out the hypocrisy of the left for praising Soros and demonizing Musk.

Others have also wondered at how so many have piled on Musk for “political interference” now that a well-known figure with deep pockets has gone to bat for the other side.

Germany’s Naomi Seibt, an account often reposted by Musk, provided a very revealing graphic of all the entities Gates funds in Germany, including Spiegel and CureVac, as well as around the world, such as the WHO and the CDC.

Seibt noted a $2.9 million contribution to Spiegel alone to focus on “global society” and “migration,” adding that the paper “has defamed Elon Musk and Donald Trump many times,” to which Musk reiterated that “Spiegel is just paid propaganda.”

In one final post, Musk called out Soros for his dedication to weaponizing migration and creating a “fake asylum-seeker nightmare,” with a long quote from Soros’s own website stating that “the EU has to accept at least a million asylum-seekers annually,” pushing the idea that all member states must “share the burden fairly” (quota system), and emphasizing that migrants should be able to go “where they want to go.”
