Invest in Africa to lower migration, urges Morawiecki

During the Africa-Europe Forum Morawiecki outlined his idea to help the migration crisis with Africa: “We want to help different African countries by creating good work places on the spot, with Polish investors and in Polish entrepreneurships, so we can lessen the migration pressure from Africa to Europe.”

Morawiecki pointed out the potential of the African market: “Africa is 1.2 bln people and in a few years, there will most likely be thrice as many inhabitants as in the EU.”

The PM also explained how Polish entrepreneurs have already made good, promising contacts with their African counterparts. 

Morawiecki considered the following sectors of particular interest: the food industry, machine production, consumer electronics and information technology services. The last one the PM deemed “Poland’s recent speciality.”
