Polish state authorities have decided that no more than five people will be able to attend any religious event or holy mass due to the coronavirus epidemic, according to a statement published by the Polish Episcopal Conference.
The statement also stressed that the order is designed to protect the health and the life of Poles and should be acknowledged in context of the upcoming Holy Week.
There is no holy water by the entrance of the churches, the sign of peace is made by a bow of the head instead of a handshake, and the Eucharist is temporarily received by hand.
These are just a few of the measures that the Catholic Church has taken to limit the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.
