The narrator, Mel Gibson, explained that Poland’s journey lasted for 123 years: “The Poles didn’t have their home for 123 years. Now, 100 years have passed since they regained their home. Let’s celebrate with them.”

At the end of the clip, there was a reminder about the history of Polish partitions between 1795-1918. Internaut reactions ranged from “I love Poland, my homeland,”, “Amazing! Poland!” to “God Bless Mel Gibson” and “The lucky 100! Independence!”
The video was also shared by important Polish officials, including deputy PM and former PM Beata Szydło as well as President Andrzej Duda.
