According to a survey carried out by Social Changes for the portal wPolityce.pl, a dominant number of Poles believe that children with Down’s syndrome should receive legal protection from the state.

A staggering 80 percent of Poles agreed that these children should receive that aid.

A total of 57 percent of them said “decisively yes” and 23 percent, “probably yes.” Only 6 percent opposed the notion — 3 percent said “decisively no” and 3 percent chose “probably no” — while 14 percent of those surveyed stated that it was “hard to say.”

A whopping 92 percent of Law and Justice (PiS) voters agreed that such children should receive legal protection, and 82 percent of Civic Coalition (PO) voters agreed.

The survey shows that the subject of the protection of life gains large social support if it is presented based on concrete examples, separate from the ideological hogwash with which the Left obscures the lives of particular children.

After all, this conflict is all about the children.

The constitutional court’s verdict on October 22 invalidated the law that permitted eugenic abortion. This was a door that had led to the deaths of around 1,000 children a year, mainly ones with Down’s syndrome.

The survey was conducted between October 30 and November 2 using the Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI) method.
