At his press conference with Health Minister Łukasz Szumowski, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki urged Poles not to listen to the “buzzing of the flies which lie and use falsifications” when attacking Poland’s response to the coronavirus crisis.

“We know how it was in March, April and what we avoided. The whole nation passed the test, because we were together and continue to be,” added Morawiecki.

Morawiecki noted that the decisions made by the government concerning the pandemic were made in the name of the highest values, which was designed to save every human life.

He emphasized the necessity to make quick decisions while facing completely unknown circumstances.

“As one of the first countries to do so, we closed borders. Countries richer than us did not rise to the challenge. They have 15 or even as much as 30 times more deaths than Poland,” the prime minister stressed.

Morawiecki announced that he can look at himself in a mirror only because Poles believe that the decisions made a few months ago were the right ones.
